This lovely off road race will take you through Girton Millennial woods, across fields, around Girton Woods and back to where you started on Girton Recreation ground.
The terrain is a mixture of grassy trails and compact paths which takes you through shaded woods and open fields.
Girton 5 Mile Trail Race is ideal for any age and ability.
Finished Couch to 5k? Challenge yourself to 5 miles!
Experienced runner? Girton 5 Mile is ideal to get a trail PB due to being very flat course!
Race it or take it steady and easy... the choice is yours. All abilities very welcome!

What time does it start?
Race starts at 10am.
How do I get my race number?
Registration open from 9am and closes at 9.40am. Please arrive in time to pick up your number and go to the toilet etc.
Is there parking?
There is a small car park at the recreation ground and then further parking can be found in the side roads near to the start.
Is there a marked course?
Yes, the course is marked every mile with bright mile marker signs. There are also lots of bright arrow signs along the way to keep you on course.
Do I get a prize?
Yes! There is a medal for every finisher and a trophy for 1st/2nd/3rd Male and Female. 1st Vet in age category 40-45/45-50/55-60/60 plus
What support is available during the run?
There will be one water stop around halfway so please make sure you carry any liquids or gels you may require during the race.
What is the terrain?
The terrain is a mixture of grass fields, gravel paths, compacted mud paths and some uneven ground. Some sections will be narrow due to the vegetation but most of the course is open. It is a totally flat course.
Can I wear head/earphones?
Headphones and eaphones are not allowed for safety reasons. You need to be able to hear instructions from marshals or other runners.
